1. Parable the second, respecting these who deny the name of the habitation of the holy ones, and of the Lord of spirits.

 1. And this is the second Parable concerning those who deny the name of the dwelling-place of the holy and of the Lord of the spirits.

 1. And this is the Second Parable concerning those who deny the name of the dwelling of the holy ones and the Lord of Spirits.

 1. Andra liknelsen, angående dem som förneka namnet af den helige Endes och Andarnes Herres boning.

 1. Och detta är den andra synen rörande dem som förneka de heligas boning och andarnas Herres namn.
2. Heaven they shall not ascend, nor shall they come on the earth. This shall be the portion of sinners, who deny the name of the Lord of spirits, and who are thus reserved for the day of punishment and of affliction.

 2. They will not ascend to heaven, and will not come on the earth; such will be the portion of the sinners who deny the name of the Lord of the spirits, who are thus preserved to the day of suffering and sorrow.

 2. And into the heaven they shall not ascend, And on the earth they shall not come: Such shall be the lot of the sinners Who have denied the name of the Lord of Spirits, Who are thus preserved for the day of suffering and tribulation.

 2. De skola icke uppstiga till himmelen, ej heller skola de komma på jorden. Sådan skall de syndares lott blifva, som förneka Andarnes Herres namn och som sålunda blifva förvarade till straffets och plågornas dag.

 2. Till himmelen skola de icke uppstiga, och till jorden skola de icke komma. Så blir de syndares lott, som förneka andarnas Herres namn och hvilka skola bevaras till lidandets och bedröfvelsens dag.
3. In that day shall the Elect One sit upon a throne of glory; and shall choose their conditions and countless habitations, while their spirits within them shall be strengthened, when they behold my Elect One, for those who have fled for protection to my holy and glorious name.*)

 3. On that day the chosen One will sit upon the throne of glory, and will choose among their [i.e. men's] deeds and places without number, and their spirit will become strong in them when they see my Chosen One and those who have called upon my holy and glorious name.

 3. På den dagen skall den Utvalde sitta på sin herrlighets thron, och skall utvälja deras vilkor och oräkneliga boningar (emedan deras andar uti dem skola styrkas, då de se min ende Utvalde), skall utvälja dem för dessa, som hafva flytt till mitt heliga och herrliga namn, för att vinna beskydd.

 3. På den dagen* skall den Utvalde sitta på härlighetens tron och göra urval bland människornas gärningar och deras rum utan tal, och deras ande skall blifva stark i dem, när de få se min Utvalde och dem som hafva åkallat mitt heliga och härliga namn.

 4. På den dagen skall jag låta min ende Utvalde bo midt ibland dem, skall förändra himmelens utseende, skall välsigna det och göra det lysande för alltid.

 4. Och på den dagen* skall jag låta min Utvalde bo ibland dem, och jag skall omdana himmelen och göra den till en evig välsignelse och ett evigt ljus.

5. I will also change the face of the earth, will bless it; and cause those whom I have elected to dwell upon it. But those who have committed sin and iniquity shall not inhabit it,

 5. And I will transform the earth and make it a blessing, and will cause my chosen ones to dwell thereon; and those who have committed sins and crimes will not step on it.

 5. And I will transform the earth and make it a blessing: And I will cause Mine elect ones to dwell upon it: But the sinners and evil-doers shall not set foot thereon.

 5. Jag skall äfven förändra jordens utseende, skall välsigna det och låta dem, som jag har utvalt, bo derpå. Men de som hafva begått synd och orättfärdighet, skola icke bebo den;

 5. Och jag förvandla jorden och göra den till en välsignelse och låta min Utvalde bo på henne. Men de som göra synd och missgärning skola icke beträda henne.
6. for I have marked their proceedings. My righteous ones will I satisfy with peace, placing them before me; but the condemnation of sinners shall draw near, that I may destroy them from the face of the earth.

 6. For I have seen and satisfied with peace my just ones, and have placed them before me; but for the sinners there awaits before me a judgment, that I may destroy them from the face of the earth.

 6. For I have provided and satisfied with peace My righteous ones And have caused them to dwell before Me: But for the sinners there is judgement impending with Me, So that I shall destroy them from the face of the earth.

 6. ty jag har sett deras gerningar. Mina rättfärdiga skall jag tillfredsställa med fred, ställande dem framför mig; men syndarnes fördömelse skall tränga dem, på det jag må utplåna dem från jordens yta.

 6. Ty jag har sett och med frid mättat mina rättfärdiga och ställt dem inför mig; men syndarna förestår en dom hos mig, att jag må utrota dem från jordens yta.
